Dr. Taylor McLendon, DVM

Dr. Taylor McLendon grew up in the Saint Augustine area, where her love for horses and the outdoors was cultivated from a young age. Riding horses daily and competing in western performance events across the country every weekend, she developed a deep connection with equine care and sports medicine.

Dr. McLendon pursued her passion for veterinary medicine at the prestigious University of Florida’s College of Veterinary Medicine. She excelled academically, graduating with high honors as Salutatorian of her class in May 2019. Her leadership skills shone through as she served as president of her class for four years and led the student chapter of the American Veterinary Medical Association (SAVMA). Additionally, she was highly active in the student chapter of the American Association of Equine Practitioners (SCAAEP) and earned a certificate in Veterinary Business Management. Focusing on lameness and sports medicine, Dr. McLendon has dedicated her career to the well-being of equine athletes. She spent 3.5 years under the mentorship of the renowned Dr. Peggy Fuller, where she honed her skills and gained invaluable experience. In July 2022, Dr. McLendon took a significant step forward by purchasing the practice, bringing her vision of comprehensive and compassionate equine care to life. Outside of her professional commitments, Dr. McLendon loves spending time on the water, vacationing at Walt Disney World, and challenging herself with marathon running. Above all, she treasures moments spent with her husband and two children, cherishing the balance between her career and family life.

Her background, education, and passion for veterinary medicine make her a trusted and respected figure in the Saint Augustine and Jacksonville areas. Dr. Sarah Randell

Dr. Sarah Randell was born in Lexington, KY and was raised in Tallahassee, FL. She grew up showing Hunters and Jumpers, and worked as a groom before attending college. Dr. Randell attended the University of Florida where she completed a Bachelors in Animal Science and Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. She then went on to complete a split internship at Brock Veterinary Clinic and the 6666 Ranch in Texas. Dr. Randell’s professional interests include preventative care, reproduction, lameness and internal medicine. Outside of work, she enjoys visiting Florida’s coast and antiquing.

Jennifer Falana

Jennifer grew up in Jacksonville and began riding at the age of 6.   She started riding western, but at the age of 12 switched to riding Hunters and Jumpers.  She is still riding and has three horses of her own at home: Rio, Jackson, and Moon.  Jennifer began working for Mandarin Equine in 2000, first cleaning stalls then doing office work and now is employed as a full time tech. When not at work, she enjoys acroyoga and spending time at the beach!

Avery Thomas

Avery was born in Kalamazoo, MI and raised in Jacksonville, Fl. She grew up riding all through her childhood, attending local rodeos and barrel racing shows. From a very young age she knew horses were her passion and would be a part of her future. While at work she enjoys performing rehabilitative care along with keeping things organized both out on the field and behind the scenes. Outside of work her hobbies include competitively barrel racing, and exploring Florida’s natural springs!
